My journey as a developer
I started my journey with a simple curiosity: how do the tools I use every day actually work? That curiosity quickly turned into a passion for writing software that feels intuitive and solves real problems.
The Early Days
When I first started coding, I focused on learning the fundamentals of the web. I spent countless hours understanding how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript came together to form the backbone of the internet. It was a steep learning curve, but the feeling of seeing a webpage I built from scratch come to life on the screen was incredibly rewarding.
Building for E-commerce
As my skills grew, I joined Helixo, where I had the opportunity to dive deep into the Shopify ecosystem. I learned how to build resilient, customer-facing applications that needed to handle high traffic and provide a seamless checkout experience. This taught me the importance of:
- Performance: Every millisecond counts when a customer is waiting for a page to load.
- Maintainability: Code isn't just written once; it's read and modified countless times.
- User Experience: The best software gets out of the user's way.
Scaling Marketing Tools
Today, as a Software Engineer at Threasury Media, my focus has shifted toward building scalable marketing tools and integrating advertising platforms. The challenges here are different—handling complex data pipelines, ensuring system reliability, and building internal tools that empower our marketing teams to move faster.
Looking Forward
Throughout this journey, my core philosophy hasn't changed. I still care deeply about useful software, maintainable systems, and the details that make a product feel reliable.
Whether it's a small browser extension like the AI Usage Tracker or a complex web application, the goal is always the same: build tools that help people work smarter.
